This Friday is our OPENING NIGHT PARTY! Sign-up list items can be dropped off in the Fort Vancouver High School Cafeteria just before the end of the show. We do not have coolers or refrigerators available. If your food needs to be kept cold, please keep a cooler in your car. The cost of admission is $5.00 per family, which many of you already paid for, but it's not too late to pay at the door if you'd like to come. This is a FUN celebration for the cast/crew and families. It's a tradition to bring 'dress up' clothes to change into for the party (not required by any means, just if you want to). There will be great fellowship, music, dancing, and food. The party will start as soon as the cast/crew are changed, show boxes cleaned up, and cleaning duties are taken care of.

REMINDER from our Show Chair: It's not too late to pitch in for the Artistic Team Appreciation gifts, please help us bless their socks off!  There is a donation envelope located in the Magic Box.  Suggested donation of $5 to $10. Make checks to Deena Warner

Costume News

A note from our Costume Committee

REMINDER:  all boy fish need to provide a white t-shirt as a piece of their costume.  This is not used as an undershirt… it will actually be seen as their shirt in this scene.  Please make sure it’s a good fit and a round collar.  (They have them at Joanne’s right now for $3 in the craft section?)

GIRL FISH:  we apologize for the short notice, but we have decided that the girl fish will wear a white t-shirt as a part of their fish costume in addition to their white tank top unders.  This is typically something we would ask parents to provide, but due to the short notice – we have purchased them and are asking for parents to pay for them. (we were hoping this was easier for you!) Please pay $3 to Tammy Flagor asap.  Thanks so much!

GIRL CATS:  the costume committee purchased matching fish net hose so all the girls would match and parents wouldn’t have to be searching for a certain type.  Please pay $7 to Jodi Childs for your fish net hose.

Thanks!

Shoes

HONK!  Footwear descriptions
*for any of the “farmyard” scenes, cast will be representing a random farm poultry character (bird, chicken, quail, peacock, duck, etc…)through costume.  Their footwear is the primary cue for the audience to recognize the symbolism.  Therefor… cast will have either orange, yellow, burgundy, brown or black shoes.  Obviously; black and brown options are easy to acquire.  The other colors will be created via spraypaint by our costume committee.  If you are assigned a orange, yellow or burgundy shoe for your farmyard costume, we are asking that you bring in a pair of shoes that can be painted.  An old pair of character shoes, or leather loafer shoe…  whatever is easy!  We’re hoping that you can find these at a Goodwill or in the back of your closet.. we certainly don’t want it to be a big expense.  Canvas shoes will not work as they soak up too much paint.  Please bring your shoe to the parent meeting next week with your childs’ name clearly marked on tape on the bottom of each shoe.  Our committee will spray paint the desired colors.  These shoes will remain in show boxes for the run of the show and be returned to you afterwards.
